Valley Friendship Circle Cooking Class Lesson Plan For 2019-2020
Goals of the Cooking Class
Everyone eats, but many people, both kids and adults have no idea where food comes from and how it gets to their plate. Children enjoy cooking their food as much as they enjoy eating and showing off the final product. You might be surprised at the kinds and amounts of information kids are taking in while they are cooking and baking. Kids do not even realize just how much they are learning because they are having so much fun. During this program the children will come into the kitchen for 6 weeks and have an opportunity to explore, develop and learn about food preparation, nutrition and the connection of different foods to Jewish holidays and Jewish life. We will touch on:
