About the Friendship Circle
Dear Friends,
I hope this letter finds you in the best of health and spirits.
I am writing to introduce you to a unique program called
“The
Friendship Circle
”
. This is a wonderful and meaningful program which reaches out and extends a helping hand to families in our community who have
children with
special needs in ways that are unmet by other organizations.
The Friendship Circle
serves a dual purpose and enriches all who participate. As the families are assisted with the extra hand they so greatly need,
their children
are gaining a kind and caring friend. The teenage volunteers too, become empowered and enriched as their own
moral character grows through their volunteering.
Pairs of volunteers
will be visiting the special needs children
in their home
once a
week for an hour and a half. Their role will be to
play and interact with the child, thus giving the parents much needed respite. This bond will also
create an everlasting friendship.
This
free program has been met with incredible success in several other states, and is so greatly appreciated by all those involved. Therefore, it is with great excitement and anticipation that we are now creating our local
Friendship Circle
.
So, if you…
…know a teenager who would like to belong to a volunteer club that provides great opportunities as well as many fun events and trips;
…are willing to help out by driving a volunteer to their destination;
…are, or know of, a family that would like extra assistance in their home with children who have special needs, with the added benefit of their child being part of a meaningful relationship;
Please give me a call at (818) 508-6633 or send an e-mail to
and together we can make someone’s life easier while enriching the life of a young volunteer.
Thank you so much for your help.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Chanie Baitelman, Director
